Shunts
Shunt resistors are used to measure DC currents, expacially at high currents. At the shunt resistor, a voltage proportional to the current drops, which can then be used for further processing / measurement. The shunt resistors are designed in accuracy 0.5 % according to DIN 43703 and DIN 60051. In addition, shunts with an increased accuracy of 0.2 % or 0.1 % can be realized on request. The rated currents are in the range of 1 A up to 30,000 A and with a voltage drop from 50 mV up to 300 mV. Further values are available on request.
Depending on the nominal current, the shunt resistors are supplied in three different types. (type A, type B and type C)
Up to 25 A, the shunts are always mounted on an insulating base which can be mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail or by means of screw fixing. Above 25 A, an insulating base is optionally available for type A, as well as for some current ranges in type B.
If required, sizes adapted to the technical requirements can also be realized. Customized requirements of shunts are most welcome. We are ready to create it!
